Since the dawn of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 1949, its member states have worked together to protect the shared airspace of the Baltic Sea. On May 12, 2023, the Allies continued to demonstrate their commitment to this effort by participating in a joint exercise to guard the skies of the Baltic Sea. The exercise, codenamed “Baltic Guardian”, was conducted by NATO’s Baltic Air Policing (BAP) mission. The mission saw the joint participation of air forces fr
